My second week went by fast, eating my local foods seemed normal. It genuinely felt good knowing that I was impacting our environment positively. I ate mainly foods from Trader Joes and PCC. I drove around 10 minutes to each location and picked up my foods for the week so that I wouldn't have to drive back every day. I bought food for my entire week, doing so improved my behavior at home and outside of the home.  The main impact that I am creating is decreasing co2 emission. Because I am eating locally produced foods we have around 1164 lbs of co2 per plate. This also means 352 gallons of co2 per/mile, which therefore means, there are 1500miles saved from one plate of locally produced foods. If everyone at school did this same behavior we would decrease the co2 emissions by roughly 600,000miles. This would exponentially decrease. Throughout my first week, I ate locally produced foods, spanning from PCC to Trader Joes. This consisted of every meal throughout my week.  Surprisingly It was not that difficult, the hardest part was finding the right foods to eat to keep up with my normal food routines. When using only locally produced foods will help sustain the environment but limiting the transportation as well as being healthier. When you eat only locally produced foods you create a healthier lifestyle and food regimen. I tend to either make food at my house or eat organic but that's not always the case. It can be unhealthy to only eat certain foods. I truly believe that when eating locally produced foods, it will decrease our negative environmental impacts.  In order to impact our environment, you must reduce your carbon footprint. By eating locally produced food you can reduce your footprint by up to 7% as well as reducing your carbon emissions by 66%. This was found from Eat your W...
